To ensure both fun and the necessary learning, identifying the most suitable level for each student is a fundamental step.
AMATEUR COURSES
BASIC Level
Level for absolute beginners: For those who have never danced, with the basic notions to understand the music and the rhythm, and to grasp the fundamentals of Bachata and salsa.
Intermediate Levels
Salsa Cubana The aim of this level is to enable students who have acquired the basics to dance on the floor with elements of Salsa Cubana, Rueda de Casino, rumba and reggaetón.
Salsa in linea (Portoricana / Los Angeles) For those who know the basics or already dance Salsa Cubana. On the musical “one”, “in linea” salsa is introduced with steps and figures in the Puerto Rican, New York and Los Angeles styles. Bachata: for intermediate-level students, dominican bachata steps are studied, with variations of romantic, fusion or sensual bachata and couple figures.
Advanced Levels
Salsa Cubana: Once you are comfortable dancing on the floor, it is enriched with steps and figures, studying the Cuban style with movements of rumba and reggaetón.
Salsa in linea (Portoricana / New York): the level at which certain movement techniques are refined along with some nuances of the Puerto Rican and New York styles, with pasitos, figures, gestures and spin techniques. The concept of the musical “two” is introduced, also through the study of cha cha.
SEMI-PRO COURSES – Choreographies
Salsa Cubana and Timba: The Almasabrosa style is studied, supplemented with elements of Afro, Rumba and son, Salsa in linea (Portoricana / New York) The Almasabrosa style is studied, supplemented with elements of cha cha, New York style, Pachanga, latin jazz. Understanding the rhythm is essential in order to dance on the “break on 2”.
